On November 18, 1999, the Chinese federal government officially made a decision that Shanghai would bid for the 2010 globe Expo. With help from home and abroad, Shanghai won the bid on December 3, 2002, from the 132nd standard Assembly for this intercontinental Exhibitions Bureau.
