Some 420,000 persons entered the expo web-site by 7pm yesterday.



Among yesterday\\’s visitors, 112,000 came in tour groups and 51,922 were neighborhood citizens with complimentary entry pass provided by the Shanghai government. A total of 75,574 entry pass were offered at the gates, 29,462 of these for evening visit.



As of 6pm, 76,000 site visitors received passed through Houtan entrance, compared with 69,000 at Shangnan Road entrance, 65,000 at Changqing Road entrance and 57,000 at Gaoke Road entrance.



As many as 79 shows were completed at expo venues from morning to 5pm yesterday, attracting 46,000 spectators. Some 5,476 volunteers worked on the site.



Five on-site health clinics dealt with 414 site visitors yesterday by 4pm.



The expo Organizer expects some 120,000 group site visitors today.

Expo public facilities to get new lease of life

Some public facilities at the expo site will be moved to other dominant places in Shanghai following the six-month function halts in October, including the drinking h2o fountains, mist sprayers and cell based toilets which have won praise from visitors, a senior expo official said yesterday.



Some other facilities will be auctioned, including the more than 110,000 stone benches near to the site, each of which includes a Haibao image, Xi Qunfeng, director of the Facility and Environment Management Department of the expo bureau, informed a mass advertising conference yesterday.



Meanwhile, some international pavilions are preparing to donate parts of the pavilions\\’ high-tech or wonderful construction product and displays for the Shanghai Charity bottom following the Expo. Bicycles at the Denmark Pavilion and the rattan covering the Spain Pavilion are anticipated to be near to the donation list, the bottom revealed yesterday.



Exhibits will go to collectors through charity auctions while business office supplies in pavilions will be donated directly to schools for migrant children. Proceeds through the auctions will be implemented to boost healthcare treatment in remote villages, officials said.
